Water Supply Yangon Ywar Village

During the dry season of April/May 2006 the Sisters and the villagers in Eastern Shan State experienced a major water shortage and an increase in diarrhea cases and other diseases. To prevent this from happening again  and to prepare for additional water consumption by the new large nursery and by the new boarding house for girls in Yangon Ywar, PIN funded the construction of a new 2 km water pipeline and additional water tanks linking the Convent compound with the water supply at the other villages. The construction of the new water supply system was completed in 2007.
